Dr. David Hawkins

All things are energy. You, as consciousness with a human body, are energy. The phone you use, the table, the chair, every thing around is energy. Energy has frequency associated with it what we normally call vibrations / vibrational frequency. This place has good “vibes”.

Dr. David Hawkins’ created a consciousness scale mapping this vibrational frequency to every consciousness state on a logarithmic scale.

Someone who calibrates at Log 100 is living in fear consciousness. They would be anxious, jittery, wary of situations and would have an attitude of “things always go wrong for me”. They are living in victimhood.

The lower end of this scale is someone living in “survival” mode while the upper end is more on a “spiritual” level.

Using this scale

Changing the Paradigm

Dr. Hawkins used Courage c.200 as a threshold frequency to separate the survival from spiritual and our goal should be to evolve from lower states of consciousness to higher ones and ultimately reach Enlightenment.

This scale should be used to check your consciousness during the day and understand that you can go from say Fear (c. 100 ) to Love (c.500) in a matter of seconds. Being aware of your present sate of consciousness enables you to make that shift. This is the most important aspect of using this scale on day-to-day basis.

All our struggles in life, including money are because we are in a “Have-Do-Be” loop i.e. once I have money, I will buy that car and then I will be happy”

We need to reverse this to “Be-Do-Have” so we can change our paradigm which will then change the ways we see and ultimately our life experiences.

It is the “being” in higher states of consciousness that leads to the “doing” the right things, being in the right places, meeting the right people and that’s how you end up “having” what you truly desire which is abundance in everything viz., health, wealth and relationships.

Moving to higher vibrational frequency

Here are a few ways to start this journey to changing your vibrational frequency and evolve and thrive instead of survive :

  • Practicing Gratitude
  • Meditation (check : anapana meditation)
  • Donation / serve
  • Grounding (walk barefoot in a garden)
  • Appreciate more, forgive more, complain less
  • Eat high vibe food
  • Consume High-Vibe Music, TV, Books, and Movies
  • Change your surroundings – art, colors, declutter space, lighting
  • Go to a temple, church, mosque and other high vibrating places
  • Use mantra chanting
  • Occasional fasting
  • Be with high vibing people
  • Use positive affirmations
